The NCBWR Board of Directors seeks to develop sustainability between those with lived-experience who inform our work and the larger public that serve as our accountability team that will be transparent about decisions being made.
The Board of National Coalition of Black Women Rising is responsible for advising the mission and purpose of the organization. Its duties include participation in strategic planning and making policy decisions, then securing the financing for them and the monitoring of their execution. Members must be willing to bring key relationships and resources to the organization in the execution of the Founder's vision. Members must be willing to attend the requisite meetings, follow through on commitments, and participate fully in the decision-making process. The Board also presents the organization's image to the community and solicits its support in achieving National Coalition of Black Women Rising Inc’s goals. We expect our Board Members to sign up for a 2-year term re-electable with the consensus of the members providing compliance to board member responsibilities are met.
